He is writing a Symphony

Romans 8:28 : “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose.”

Sometimes, my life seems like one big mess! I wonder and ask God, “What is happening here?” One day I seem to be rebuked by God, the next I make a mistake, the next day I am soaring on wings like eagles. I wonder when everything will make sense. Beneath the surface, I can’t see what God is doing through all of these painful moments in my life. I can’t see that God is creating a beautiful symphony out of all the “unruly notes.” However, like Corrie Ten Boom said, I can have faith that God is making something so beautiful even out of all the knotted parts of my life. Joyce Meyer once said, “What you don’t understand now – things that you’re going through right now that you do not understand, that you can’t make any sense out of it at all – later on, I promise you, later on – you will look back and say, ‘Now, I get it, Now I get it.'” We don’t see the beautiful embroidery that God is creating on the other side of God’s weaving, through sowing in tears and pain, through sowing in hardships and lots of struggles, but we can trust in God that we just haven’t seen all the blessings he has in store for us.

Therefore, I must keep fighting the good fight and struggle to love God with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength through my everyday efforts, prayers, tears, and self-denial.  May I trust that God’s plans for me at the end of the day are meant for good, and not for harm. He is creating a symphony out of all our lives~

Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'”

Wow what a cool message/illustration. It gives me vivid hope in Gods plan for my life. “God is creating a beautiful symphony out of all the unruly notes.” Amen.

Wow! So profound that on the other side of the embroidery lies a crown! This touches my heart and gives me great hope that despite all the pains, difficulties and challenges I may face in this life, there is Jesus waiting on the other side with a crown especially prepared for me. Thank you for these encouraging thoughts 🙂

Your struggle to find hope and hold onto it is really remarkable! You’re a warrior! Keep fighting the good fight and one day you WILL say, “Now I get it! Now I get it!” Prov. 3:5-6

“May I trust that God’s plans for me at the end of the day are meant for good, and not for harm. He is creating a symphony out of all our lives~”

Amen! This even reminds me of the previous passage in John 14:1 where Jesus tells his disciples, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”

Praise God for your faith and your struggle to remain even when it is very challenging and the pieces don’t quite make sense. I look forward to seeing God’s beautiful embroidery flourish in your life 🙂

After watching the pilgrims progress (the animated version, although enjoyable, wasn’t quite like the book), I was inspired to read Bunyun’s masterpiece again. It always comforts me with the reminder that the road which leads to life is tough, but right.
Glad to be on this road with you 🙂

Very encouraging! “Later you will understand.” It always happens that way, thank God for the training!

So true. Most of the times I don’t know what God is doing. My understanding is really limited. But the amazing thing is that I don’t need to understand, he never asks me to understand him, but simply to trust and obey him:) That I can do!

I know that I have listened to this song several times already and as I think about it I am encouraged to just trust in God, that he is not just writing some decent tune that will play once, never to be heard again, but instead, is even writing a beautiful symphony in my life though some seemingly unruly events. Your struggle to live this out practically and to hold to him despite confusing situations is encouraging. May I also trust that he is moving all these things for our good!

So very true. As I’ve grown up in Jesus more and more I see that at the end of Gods work to refine my character I’m going to emerge as a beautiful better person. Or in time what God is doing in my sheep starts to become noticeable. It may take a bit of time for it to become clear, but keep pressing forward even when life seems a jumble :). When you get to the other side of the jumble you see “oh so that was what God was doing!” and its always an overwhelming sight.
